Soccer Recap: North Monterey County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Monte Vista Christian last Friday, North Monterey County came back down to earth. The North Monterey County Condors fell just short of the Gonzales Spartans by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Condors couldn't quite close it out.

North Monterey County's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Gonzales, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Monterey County has already played their next game (against Carmel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gonzales will head out to take on Monte Vista Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Gonzales is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
