It was a proper cat-fight when Red Bay challenged Phil Campbell on Saturday. The Red Bay Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Phil Campbell Bobcats 6-4. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jeramiah Thorne and Carson McGee were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Thorne struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, McGee pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). At the plate, Thorne scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while McGee went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dallas Terrell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Ty Reynolds was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

The win got Red Bay back to even at 1-1. As for Phil Campbell, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Red Bay and Phil Campbell will both be playing Belmont the next time they take the field. Phil Campbell will host Belmont at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Red Bay will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
