Volleyball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short at Home Against Perquimans

Washington unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Perquimans Pirates on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12, 25-9.

Julia Feyer paced Washington's offense, picking up three kills. Feyer were helped by Ryleigh Elks and Naomi Huss, who contributed two assists each. Riley O'Neal controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Washington will square off against Northside - Pinetown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perquimans, they will venture away from home to challenge First Flight at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
