Basketball Game Preview: Big Pine Warriors vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles

Big Pine has won five straight games at home, while Lone Pine has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Big Pine Warriors will host the Lone Pine Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Big Pine beat Lee Vining 34-29.

Big Pine can attribute much of their success to ADAM MILLER, who posted 12 points and five steals. MILLER has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of DAMIEN HOTTENDORF, who earned seven points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lone Pine). They breezed by Trona to the tune of 96-38 on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Lone Pine has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40 points. As for Big Pine, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
