Football Recap: Strong Performance on D from Michael Putnam and Landon Ritter Leads North Pole over Wasilla

North Pole won the last time they faced Wasilla, and Patrick Melvin did his part to make sure it happened again. The Patriots came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 24-14 on Friday for which the team can thank Melvin, who rushed for 140 yards and two scores, and also picked up 81 receiving yards and one TD. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 101.2 rushing yards per game.

North Pole didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Michael Putnam and Landon Ritter.

Although Wasilla took the loss, they still got scores from Adam Corneliussen and Brandon Wadleigh.

The victory got North Pole back to even at 2-2. As for Wasilla, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
