Volleyball Game Preview: Midview Middies vs. Elyria Pioneers

The Midview Middies will head out to face off against the Elyria Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Midview came up short against Steele and fell 3-1. The Middies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Midview started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-8, 26-24, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Elyria came up short against Steele on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Elyria was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Steele's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-18.

Elyria's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Midview, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything went Midview's way against Elyria when the teams last played back in September, as Midview made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Middies since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
