Soccer Game Preview: James Kenan vs. Pender

The James Kenan Tigers will face off against the Pender Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

James Kenan is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Swansboro on Saturday. They lost 5-1 to the Pirates. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, on ThursdayLakewood kept up with Pender until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Pender blew past Lakewood 6-1. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

They hit Lakewood with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andyn Points (2), Brianna Behal (2), Celina Ferreyra Mota, and Valery Trevino.

Having lost for the first time this season, James Kenan fell to 2-1. As for Pender, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went James Kenan's way against Pender in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as James Kenan made off with a 7-0 victory. Will James Kenan repeat their success, or does Pender have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
