Volleyball Game Preview: Carol City Chiefs vs. MAST Academy Makos

Carol City is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Thursday. They will host the MAST Academy Makos at 4:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Carol City is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against Northwestern, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-11.

Meanwhile, MAST Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Homestead.

MAST Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-22.

Carol City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for MAST Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
