Washington was the 7-1 winner over Sumner Academy when they last played one another on April 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Sabres by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leland Estes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Eric Fennix, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Sumner Academy, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-10.
