Columbine faced Ralston Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Rebels received a  blow  as they fell  35-21 to the Mustangs. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing  35-34 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 When it comes to explaining why Columbine lost, don't look at  Mark Snyder. Despite the final result, he rushed for 148 yards and two  TDs.
  Zeke Andrews continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ralston Valley, throwing for 273 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 100 yards and one  score on only ten carries.  Sawyer Blomquist was in the mix  too, providing the Mustangs with two TDs.
This is the second loss in a row for Columbine and  nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Ralston Valley, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
 Columbine wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  41-7  win against Denver South on the 24th. As for Ralston Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  48-7  victory against Denver East on the 23rd.
