Recap: North Eugene Highlanders vs. Crater Comets
The North Eugene Highlanders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Crater 83-64. The win was familiar territory for North Eugene who now have four in a row.
India Mohiuddin was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with five rebounds and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonas Spencer, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
North Eugene's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.67 points. As for Crater, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Eugene will take on Thurston at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Thurston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings (they are ranked 99th, while North Eugene is ranked ninth). As for Crater, they will be playing at home against Churchill at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
