Baseball Recap: Picayune Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Picayune, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Hancock Hawks by a score of 4-1 on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Maroon Tide: when they faced off against the Hawks on Friday, they had to take a 6-5 defeat.

Brunson Stockstill was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Picayune's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Hancock, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-12.

Looking ahead, Picayune will venture away from home to take on Long Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hancock, they will host George County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
