Basketball Recap: Maxwell Starts off Right with Win over Princeton

Maxwell took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-36 win over the Princeton Eagles. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 78-62 loss the last time these two teams met.

Maxwell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tanner Vierra, who went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Macklin Kuska, who posted eight points along with five boards and three blocks.

Princeton's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.

Maxwell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-49 victory against Round Valley on the 12th. As for Princeton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-39 loss against Plumas Charter on the 10th.
