Recap: Orem Tigers vs. Wasatch Wasps

The Orem Tigers waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They blew past Wasatch 64-43. With Orem ahead 42-22 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orem to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chance Dastrup, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten assists. Dastrup is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now racked up ten or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jax Allen, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.

Orem pushed their record up to 16-4 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Wasatch, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orem will challenge Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Orem knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 games -- so hopefully Springville likes a good challenge. As for Wasatch, they will head out on the road to face off against Spanish Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wasatch is facing Spanish Fork at the right time seeing as Spanish Fork is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
