Basketball Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Edison was the 64-56 winner over Will Rogers College when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Edison Eagles took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Will Rogers College Ropers on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Ropers are ranked 49th).

Will Rogers College's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shon King, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Oates III, who posted 13 points and seven boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Edison and nudges their season record down to 7-10. As for Will Rogers College, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will challenge Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three contests. As for Will Rogers College, they will square off against Pryor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Will Rogers College is facing Pryor at the right time seeing as Pryor is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
