Struthers has gone 9-1 against Hubbard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Struthers Wildcats will take on the Hubbard Eagles in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Struthers had to suffer through a 68-37 loss at the hands of South Range. The Wildcats have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Hubbard came up short against McKinley on Tuesday and fell 69-60. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Struthers will need focus on slowing down Braydon Songer, one of several Hubbard players who made an impact when they last played. He went 9 for 21 on his way to 28 points and six rebounds. Those 28 points gave Songer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyen Franklin, who posted 14 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Hubbard's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Struthers, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Struthers lost to Hubbard on the road by a decisive 58-44 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Struthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
