Archbishop Hoban had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Edward Eagles, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since March 29th.

Archbishop Hoban's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for St. Edward, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Archbishop Hoban will square off against rival Walsh Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 3.2, the Warriors 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, St. Edward is set to take on their familiar foe St. Vincent-St. Mary at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
