New Riegel and Hopewell-Loudon are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Blue Jackets will venture away from home to square off against the Chieftains at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

New Riegel can't be too worried about heading out to take on Hopewell-Loudon: they just beat Gibsonburg at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Blue Jackets beat the Golden Bears on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-2. The game was the first time the Blue Jackets have beaten the Golden Bears on their field since May 19, 2022.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hopewell-Loudon walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-2 win on Thursday. The Chieftains might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Hopewell-Loudon's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for New Riegel, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

New Riegel beat Hopewell-Loudon 5-2 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Jackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
