The Wayne Badgers will square off against the Bryce Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wayne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.
On Tuesday, Wayne needed a bit of extra time to put away Panguitch. They managed a 77-71 victory over the Bobcats. The Badgers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Wayne found their leader in sophomore AJ VanDyke, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 17 rebounds. The matchup was VanDyke's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Makayla Jones was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.
Wayne was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Bryce Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against Panguitch, falling 58-25. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Wayne will have to keep a close watch on Grace Leech and Annabella Vasquez, a pair of players who had a big impact on Bryce Valley's prior game. Leech posted ten points, while Vasquez scored seven points. That was a full 40% of Bryce Valley's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Wayne pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Bryce Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Wayne hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.8 points per game. It's a different story for Bryce Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 36.9 points. The only thing between Wayne and another offensive beatdown is Bryce Valley. Will they be able to keep them contained?
