After flying high against Ingleside on Tuesday, Jones came back down to earth. The Trojans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calhoun Sandcrabs on Friday. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 17-25, 25-22, 25-14.

Jones suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 35-6. As for Calhoun, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jones is set to take on their familiar foe Ingleside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Calhoun will square off against rival Sinton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
