The Southwest Guilford Cowboys are taking a road trip to square off against the Walkertown Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southwest Guilford knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Walkertown likes a good challenge.

Southwest Guilford was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Page on Tuesday. Southwest Guilford put the hurt on Page with a sharp 22-3 win. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Caroline Christman was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Christman was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Makayla Stefanik was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over nine innings pitched. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 4-for-4.

Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aliviah Bateman, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

The win got Southwest Guilford back to even at 2-2. As for Walkertown, their record is now 3-0.

Southwest Guilford skirted past Walkertown 12-10 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southwest Guilford since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
