Volleyball Recap: Covington Wins Going Away Against Memphis Home Education Association

The Covington Chargers made easy work of Memphis Home Education Association on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

While Covington won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-23.

Ava McCalla paced Covington's offense, picking up 17 kills. McCalla got some help from Caroline Cole and her 22 assists. McCalla was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Covington's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Memphis Home Education Association, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covington will challenge Lausanne Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Memphis Home Education Association, they will take on Tipton-Rosemark Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
