Football Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it four. They lost 42-20 to the Liberty Eagles. The Bluejays were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

As for Liberty, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Jaylen Mack, who rushed for 135 yards and two scores on only seven carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and one TD.
