Basketball Game Preview: Foothill Falcons vs. Centennial Bulldogs

The Foothill Falcons will square off against the Centennial Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Foothill is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Liberty, who was ranked ninth at the time (Foothill was ranked 25th). Foothill took a 73-58 bruising from Liberty on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centennial). They claimed a resounding 102-34 win over Spring Valley. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.

Foothill won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February of 2024, slipping by Centennial 74-73. Does Foothill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Centennial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
