Softball Recap: Pinconning Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Pinconning posted their closest win since April 15th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bullock Creek Lancers 11-9.

The team relied heavily on Kaylee Rugenstein, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Leeya Rezler, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Pinconning's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8. As for Bullock Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coming up, Pinconning will challenge Beaverton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Beavers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.36 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bullock Creek, they will welcome Gladwin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Flying G's have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.46 runs per game on average), something the Lancers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
