Basketball Recap: Addison Cameron Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bad Axe

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Yale, Imlay City was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bad Axe Hatchets by a score of 54-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Imlay City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Cameron led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, Cameron is now averaging an impressive 8.5 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Alexa Lengemann, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds.

Imlay City was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win got Imlay City back to even at 11-11. As for Bad Axe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9-1.

Looking ahead, Imlay City will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Croswell-Lexington at 7:00 p.m. Bad Axe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
