Harvest Christian Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric Lions get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.

The result came thanks to Adam Abernathy's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Elijah Mann, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Peyton Ellison was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Harvest Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
