Hibriten came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 60-12 win over the West Caldwell Warriors. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Warriors are ranked 375th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dk Mitchell had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 153 yards and four scores while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Ashton Woodruff was in the mix as well, providing Hibriten with one TD.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Hibriten proved: they limited West Caldwell to a paltry 1.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Elijah Laws for the heroic effort on defense: he. Hibriten didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.3.

Hibriten didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cam Sidden, Grady Beam, and Evan Hollie picked up one apiece. Hibriten received some extra help from Woodruff, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Hibriten's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for West Caldwell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
