Baseball Recap: Oakfield-Alabama Comes Up Short

Oakfield-Alabama managed to slip by Perry the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hornets lost 12-2 to the Yellowjackets on Tuesday.

Oakfield-Alabama saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Gilbert, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Oakfield-Alabama's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Perry, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Oakfield-Alabama will host Kendall at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Perry, they will head out to square off against Warsaw at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
