Basketball Recap: Enterprise Comes Up Short

Enterprise lost against Pleasant Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Enterprise Hornets lost 63-42 to the Pleasant Valley Vikings. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Enterprise still got an impressive performance from Alijah Collins, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 19 points. Collins is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Ayana Carlson was another key player, putting up six points and four steals.

Pleasant Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucas Bensen led the charge by earning 11 points. Another player making a difference was Ezra Mebrahtu, who went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points.

Enterprise's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Pleasant Valley, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Enterprise will face off against Shasta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Enterprise is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season. As for Pleasant Valley, they will square off against Chico at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chico knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Pleasant Valley likes a good challenge.
