Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Azle Christian's Third in Last Four Outings

On Thursday, the Azle Christian Fighting Crusaders were able to grind out a solid victory over the Newman International Academy Warriors, taking the game 52-40.

When it comes to explaining why Newman International Academy lost, don't look at Arianna Miranda. Despite the final result, she went 7 for 12 on her way to 15 points along with five boards and four steals. Ayden Pillow was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 11 points.

Azle Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Newman International Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.

Azle Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-30 defeat against Stephenville FAITH on the 24th. Newman International Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
