Recap: Primero Bulldogs vs. Walsh Eagles
The Primero Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Walsh 58-25 at home. That 33 points margin sets a new team best for Primero this season.
Primero was led to victory by Isabela Maldonado and Aimee Mincic. Maldonado scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Mincic scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Mincic scored 15 or more points. Jaleysia Atkins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Walsh lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Averi Kunselman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Primero's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Walsh, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.
Primero will stay at home for another game and welcome Holly at 4:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Holly focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Saturday. Walsh will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Kim/Branson at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th.
