Football Game Preview: Browning Indians vs. Laurel Locomotives + How To Watch

The Browning Indians will take on the Laurel Locomotives at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Browning has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Laurel will arrive with three straight victories.

Browning's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against East Helena on Friday. They had to suffer through a 76-0 loss at the hands of the Vigilantes. The game marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laurel). They breezed past Park to the tune of 49-0 on Friday. Given the Locomotives' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Rangers are ranked 66th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Laurel's win came from a few key players Browning will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Curtis Fox, who rushed for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 115 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Gabe Shelton, who rushed for 69 yards and one score on only five carries.

Laurel was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 308 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Browning's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Laurel, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
