Colton Williams posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Millard West's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Williams and Millard West will be taking part in a tournament against Lincoln East at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
