It's playoff time, and Marbury had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 67-32 victory over the Jemison Panthers. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Gabrielle Brown, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 14 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Nunu Jernigan was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 16 boards.

Marbury smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive games.

When it comes to explaining why Jemison lost, don't look at Zariyah Johnson. Despite the final result, she posted 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Trinity Bean, who scored four points and five boards.

Marbury has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.3 points. As for Jemison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.

Looking ahead, Marbury will square off against Shelby County at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shelby County will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Marbury surely won't give up without a fight. Jemison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
