Baseball Recap: Southern Christian Comes Up Short

Southern Christian lost against Heritage Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southern Christian Patriots took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heritage Christian Angels. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trey Chamberlin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jedd Scott, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Southern Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Heritage Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Southern Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Clay County Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ezekiel Academy at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th.
