Softball Recap: New Boston Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for New Boston's offense. They lost 10-0 to the De Kalb Bears on Monday. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

New Boston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-1. As for De Kalb, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. New Boston is set to challenge their familiar foe Queen City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, De Kalb will take on rival Redwater at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears are on a nine-game streak of home wins, the Dragons a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
