It was a good run, but Edgewood unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mount Horeb Vikings by a score of 2-1. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Edgewood lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lexi Sheffield, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Mount Horeb, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Edgewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Sauk Prairie on the 11th. As for Mount Horeb, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Portage on the 11th.
