Baseball Recap: Camarillo Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Camarillo ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Hart Hawks. Winning may never get old, but the Scorpions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Camarillo got a great performance from Ryan Coyne as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. What's more, Coyne posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grant Tsuji, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ryder Morehouse, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Camarillo now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Camarillo will venture away from home to take on Fillmore at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hart, they will head out to challenge Rancho Bernardo at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
