Basketball Recap: McGavock Comes Up Short

McGavock entered their contest against Cane Ridge on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The McGavock Raiders fell to the Cane Ridge Ravens 54-49. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 two weeks ago.

This is the second loss in a row for McGavock and nudges their season record down to 12-8. As for Cane Ridge, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Looking ahead, McGavock will host Hillsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cane Ridge, they will challenge Hunters Lane at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
