Basketball Game Preview: Twinsburg Tigers vs. Steele Comets

The Twinsburg Tigers will face off against the Steele Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Twinsburg will be strutting in after a victory while Steele will be coming in after a loss.

Last Wednesday, Twinsburg didn't have too much trouble with Chardon as they won 54-38. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Twinsburg got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaci Hutton out in front who went 5-for-9 to rack up 10 points along with seven boards and four steals. Hutton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Sweeney, who went 7-for-14 en route to 18 points.

Meanwhile, Steele came up short against Brunswick on Wednesday and fell 52-43. The defeat continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now lost three in a row.

Twinsburg's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7. As for Steele, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.
