Baseball Recap: Ludlow Triumphs

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Ludlow ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Heritage Academy Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since April 9, 2024.

Ludlow's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Heritage Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ludlow will head out to challenge Grant County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Heritage Academy, they will take on Whitefield Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
