Softball Recap: North Fort Myers Has No Trouble Against Immokalee

North Fort Myers got themselves on the board against Immokalee on Friday, but Immokalee never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 16-0 margin over the Immokalee Indians. The Red Knights haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Jordyn Prado was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abigail Hynes, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Lane, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

North Fort Myers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

North Fort Myers' record is now 3-0. As for Immokalee, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

North Fort Myers didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-2 victory against North Port on the 25th. As for Immokalee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-3 win against Naples on the 25th.
