Softball Game Preview: Eastern Randolph Wildcats vs. Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, Eastern Randolph will face off against Uwharrie Charter Academy. The Wildcats will face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastern Randolph has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Eastern Randolph's offense. They came up short against Uwharrie Charter Academy on Tuesday, falling 11-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

For Uwharrie Charter Academy's part, the result came thanks to Paityn Williams's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emory Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrie Kaufman, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Uwharrie Charter Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Eastern Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
