Basketball Recap: Rosman Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Rosman Tigers took a blow against the Smoky Mountain Mustangs, falling 80-17. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hudson Reese was Rosman's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Bricen Graham held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Eli McCall took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Smoky Mountain was led to victory by Custer Prenger and Ben Brown. Prenger dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 boards, while Brown went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points along with five assists and three steals. Prenger is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Lane Plemmons was another key player, putting up nine points.

Rosman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Smoky Mountain, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-9.

Rosman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-22 loss against Avery County on the 23rd. As for Smoky Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-60 defeat against North Henderson on the 24th.
