Baseball Recap: Chittenango Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Chittenango nor Solvay made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Bears took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats. The Bears have struggled against the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Chittenango saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Brownson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Chittenango's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Solvay, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Chittenango will challenge Mexico at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Solvay, they will head out to square off against Cazenovia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
