Flag Football Game Preview: Poudre School District Stars vs. Monarch Coyotes

The Poudre School District Stars are taking a road trip to face off against the Monarch Coyotes at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Poudre School District's defense has only allowed 6.4 points per game this season, so Monarch's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Poudre School District is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 72 points on Thursday, they were much more limited against Horizon on Saturday. They lost to the Hawks at home by a 18-0 margin. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Stars were not able to get on the board.

Poudre School District didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Isabella Hottman. Hottman is crushing it when it comes to interceptions: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Monarch strolled past George Washington with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 23-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

The victory got Monarch back to even at 5-5. As for Poudre School District, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
