Football Game Preview: Wilson-Henryetta Tigers vs. Covington-Douglas Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Wilson-Henryetta Tigers will square off against the Covington-Douglas Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Covington-Douglas will be up against a hot Wilson-Henryetta team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Tigers blew past Copan 62-36 last Friday. Wilson-Henryetta's win was all the more impressive since the Hornets were averaging only 13.78 points allowed on the season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Thursday. Covington-Douglas breezed past Olive to the tune of 42-6. The victory continues a trend for Covington-Douglas in their matchups with Olive: they've now won six in a row.

Covington-Douglas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Cooper Wheeler led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Rylan Fisher also rushed for 102 rushing yards, which is notable because Covington-Douglas is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 3-4 otherwise.

Wilson-Henryetta's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Covington-Douglas, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
