Basketball Game Preview: North Valley Baptist Bulldogs vs. Cindy Avitia Jaguars

The North Valley Baptist Bulldogs just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Cindy Avitia Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cindy Avitia took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on North Valley Baptist, who comes in off a win.

North Valley Baptist will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating KIPP San Jose Collegiate, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. North Valley Baptist sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 victory over KIPP San Jose Collegiate on Monday. The 38-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

North Valley Baptist had a senior duo take command as Dom Lara posted six points and 16 boards and Josh Medikondu went 5 of 11 en route to 10 points. Lara is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Lopez, who scored six points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Cindy Avitia played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against KIPP San Jose Collegiate, falling 63-29. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Valley Baptist pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cindy Avitia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
