Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers vs. Catholic Bears

The Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers will challenge the Catholic Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Baptist Academy has given up an average of 53.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Calvary Baptist Academy picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 75-66 win over Summer Creek.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calvary Baptist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyrone Jamison, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists. Jamison's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Wright, who shot 73% from the field on his way to 19 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past East Iberville with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-38.

Calvary Baptist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Catholic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
